Signifi.id is a brand strategy and identity design consultancy. The work combines research, strategy and creative craft to build brands that are both meaningful and commercially effective.

The process has four stages: Insight, Innovate, Interact and Impact. It starts with research and understanding, then moves into strategy, identity development and implementation, with a focus on measurable results.

Insight is the research phase. It looks at your marketplace, competitors, customers and business to uncover what is really driving behaviour, opportunity and brand clarity.

Signifi.id works with SMEs, founder-led businesses, start-ups, charities, NFPs, NGOs and B2B brands. The team can be shaped to suit each project, so you only pay for what you need.

Both. Signifi.id develops brand strategy first, then translates it into brand identity design, messaging and supporting materials that align with the strategy.

The site stresses research-led thinking rather than assumptions, with design decisions grounded in data, insight and commercial outcomes. The aim is not just to create something distinctive, but something that works.

Every project is scoped individually – the size of the challenge, the sector, and what’s already in place all affect the investment required, so we don’t quote a blanket package price. The Insight (research) phase, which comes first and shapes everything that follows, typically runs from £2,000–£5,000, scaling with the complexity of the brief. Once our Insight phase is complete, we can give you an accurate estimate for the full branding process covering the Innovate, Interact and Impact stages – because only then can we actually know what the brand needs, and what problems you face, rather than guessing. Branding is never one size fits all.

An initial fee is required before any work begins. After that, payment is generally staged across the project, or spread as a monthly payment plan – whichever suits you best. We don’t move on to the next phase of work until all prior invoices are settled, or you’ve given written acceptance and commitment to pay.

Most branding projects run 3-4 months from the start of Insight to delivery of the brand assets. The quickest full rebrand we’ve completed is 10 weeks; the longest – a large-scale brand implementation – took around 16 months to fully embed across the organisation, counting from delivery of the logo, assets and guidelines. Timing depends on scope, the size of the organisation, and how many stakeholders need to be aligned.

You’ll get your logo files in all appropriate formats, colour specifications and sizes, plus a brand guidelines document covering the agreed aspects of your brand’s visual and verbal expression, including tone of voice. Stationery designs and any other specific items agreed in your brief and estimate are also included.

All usage rights to the final research report and creative work transfer to you on payment of our final invoice. We reserve the right to feature the work in our portfolio, on our website, and on social media for our own promotional purposes. Any unused or rejected concepts remain our IP. If you need different terms, these must be agreed before we issue an estimate.

We’ve worked with businesses of every stage and size, across a wide range of sectors – from brand-new startups through to established international organisations.

Our client base spans local to international, and we work remotely as needed.

We start with a free discovery call or meeting, up to an hour, to explore your needs and work out whether Signifi.id is the right fit for you. From there, the next step is usually an estimate or proposal, shaped by what we agree on that call.

Andy Stonehouse sits at the heart of Signifi.id operating as lead strategist and creative director on every project. Additional specialists (photography, copywriting, SEO, sonic branding and more) are brought in only if and when the project needs them, and only with your approval. No one is added to your project team without your sign-off first. Signifi.id operates as a fluid team of collaborators. If your project requires specialist skills not presently available within our team we will be happy to source someone appropriate.
